Topic : merlin carbon fibre boom

hi am after some help ive just made a carbon fibre boom which i beleave to be ok to use on a merlin it will be 76mm dia and i can make them to what ever lenth if this dia is ok to use i need to find out kicker postion and mainsheet postion after which i think we will be able to make a strong/stiffer boom lighter and a bit cheaper hopefully, if there is any advise on this project it would be a great help thanks again

In regards to the mainsheet positioning I have found that it is best to attach the boom to the gooseneck and if you use some rope straps around the boom you can judge where the best place to attach them is, as there can be a big difference between the light wind/mast upright position and the Max rake position. This would also be a good time to check out where the Kicker attachment should be sited.
