If I read this correctly suggests they have moved the start time back to 13:00 instead of 11:00 - is this right? If so I won't have to get up at the crack of dawn to get the boat down there. |
Hi Andrew, |
gee not everybody is on the forum or internet how do we communicate this as its clearly 11 am on the fixtures list |
Somewhere in this site it says in the harbour, if it starts laster than advertised what's the problem? |
Losing an hours kip. |
Last weekend was 30 knots within the harbour so it's unlikely they will send us out into the bay....last famous words |
Wouldn't want to be dog-tired would you Megan. |
Mags, I thought you gained an hour's sleep on Sunday, with the clocks going back - just the thing for the Sunday after the ST dinner |
Not sure of the start time - probably no earlier than 1pm - , but when I spoke to Willie last week he said it was his intention to be inside the harbour - at last on saturday to qualify as an open water Silver tiller. This should work OK being Saturday when racing is less busy and high water is about 3 or 4 pm. Sunday will be a different story, with a busy harbour but by then, as willie expects, everyone will be a bit dusty after the dinner so a leisurely tour of the harbour, blending in with other traffic will be less difficult to run. This would be my guess, I'll be involved but I'm not the authority here, so don't take my word for it, i'm sure the race officer will be well informed! |
do we have any information about the entry fee for Sunday only? |
or saturday only? |
dont want to throw my bone out of the kennel but had made arrangements ( no not seeing dudley) for the evening that just dont fit with this timing |
