Topic : Puzzled

Merlin 101 has appeared on the website for sale but on checking for name, builder, design etc it does not appear in the yearbook at all!! Any ideas how this can happen?

Hi Garry. In the current Year Book and the several older ones I have she's listed as destroyed. The mention of a metal mast indicates to me that she might be a later boat. You can alway ring the advertiser, if she's genuinely 101 she could be your new project after the Rocket!

MR 101 was called Dryad in the 1951 YB. The owner was shown as J A Wilson of Goring Thames SC
She was built by Wessex Industries Ltd of Poole as were many of the boats of her time.
In the 1962 YB she is shown as a Jack Holt Merlin design and her owner was Major E Croghan of the same club.
All the YBs after 1962 repeat the same information until 1987 when she is shown as destroyed.
