How much does he need?
Model Making or roofing?
If very small quantity you can get copper plate that started life on HMS Victoty's bottom.
Other than that most suppliers seem to be in India, but I'd guess a good builders merchants (If that is not an oymoron.) would have roofing quantities if only to order.
