Topic : how do i identify my rocket?

I AM ABOUT TO REPAIR THE FORE DECK AND TOP PLANKS ON THE BOW/HULL OF MY ROCKET WHICH HAS BEEN STORED IN THE GARAGE FOR THE PAST 10+ YEARS WITH THE AIM TO PUTTING IT BACK ON THE WET STUFF NEXT SEASON, AND I WOULD LIKE TO IDENTIFY WHICH MODEL IT IS. SHE IS OF WOODEN CLINKER CONSTRUCTION, WITH A SOLID TRANSUM. THERE IS NO NAME ON THE HULL, ARE THERE ANY REG MARKS THAT WOULD ASSIST IN IDENTIFICATION AND WOULD SHE HAVE BEEN REGISTERED ANYWHERE? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. PS. I OBTAINED HER FROM LYMME IN CHESHIRE.

Has she got her registered number engraved in the wood anywhere, for example on top of the thwart? If she has, you can then find out her original name, design and builder from a Merlin Rocket yearbook.

CHeck the hull too, as the sails may be from another boat - as Richard says. check the thwart or hog (middle of floor) for a carved number.

If she is 1315 She is a Proctor designed Mk V1 built by Bob Hoare and probably finished by her first owner. In 1962 she was called MAREA and was at Leigh SC. As mentioned above there should be her number engraved in the thwart or hog. Is there a builders plaque?

1315 Marea was probably built in 1961 and may have been the last Mk V1 built.
Her first owner was J.N. Cooper and he may have owned her for many years.
His last known address to the MROA was 4 Pewterspeare Lane, Appleton, Warrington, Cheshire. The year books after 1962 appear to show no other owner!
