MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : merlin Rocket 2184

I have a 1969 merlin Rocket 2184. If anyone can give me any info on its past I would be delighted. All I know is that it is a Superstition circa 1969 called Four Ever Fickle and it came from Whitstable.

Many thanks

2184 Forever Fickle was built by Anderson Rigden & Perkins at Whitstable for C.J. Edwards and R.B.Cooke of Rye Harbour SC. We bought our first Merlin no.362 Fickle from Dick Cooke at Rye. The Cooke/Ramus families were well known in MR (including a joint 1st in the Championships), Int.Dragon and FD (Olympic)circles.
It seems that no further owners were recorded in the MROA Year Books.

Many thanks for the info. I am looking forward to getting the boat on the water once the mast is rerigged.I think it is ten years since someone sailed her, so should be interesting.
