Topic : Upper Thames

Are there any more details available for the Upper Thames event yet?
What's the format and dress code for the evening?
With only two weeks to go and two weekends racing it doesn't give me much time to find a posh frock :-)

Hi Pat,
When it comes to posh frocks just get off my territory!

However I think we (the class management) have to admit to a slight oversite in the publicity in this event - no problem Upper Thames have it all in hand and it is going to be excelent.

There should be a detailed notice on this site shortly (when I have written it)and we want everyone to sign up on line when Mags gets back from his first days in his new job at Y&Y

Perhaps I should have refered you to this post I put on another thread:
The real bash is at Upper Thames on the weekend Sept 9th & 10th.
Positivly your last chance to celebrate our 60th Aniversary.
Racing on saturday afernoon for the 'Spade Oak Bowl' and special Vintage Event. Silver Tiller for Allen Challenge Cup on the Sunday.
HUGE PARTY on Saturday night with excelent BAND and DINNER - camping in 'Sin City' or stay with some of us locals - if you can risk walking home across the fields!
Most important is that our new hon. life members are going to be presented at the dinner.
You HAVE TO BE THERE.

Went to the 40th and the 50th and looking forward to the 60th. Haven't sailed in a race for 22 years but I might persuade John to let me bring 1079 'Passing Cloud'. Would need a lightweight crew, essential she/he is clued up on current racing rules!

We're definitely going to be there but we're away for the next week vintage racing at Clywedog and I didn't want to miss getting tickets. Any hints at dress code as I have to trawl round clothes shops with teenage daughter next week?

I see your problem now - I don't know the dress code but she will want to look nice anyway - sounds expensive.

I hear the band is going to be 'Swing 42' with a female singer - they come highly recomended to make the party go.

And I don't want any comments from 'fluffy poles'

We have a flyer, notice of race and entry form.
They should be up on this site very soon.
