Any news on Day 5

Since the Firefly's were blown off at Abersoch and the local forecast looked ugly and the efficiency of Mags in getting us the results might it be a good guess they did not race. Today's local forecast supposedly 14mph but then they say force 4 gusting 5 which is rather more than that!

They did sail yesterday, Tom Stewart won

Ian hasn't sent me anything yet!

If Tom won what about the other placings ?
Anybody know to  top 5 - 10 ?

Yep - it's a pity there is no rport just as the finish line is in sight and it's getting close

Look on the positive side. At least they are all having a nice time!

or

Dave Winder


Personally it would be nice to see young Stuart & Matt win, a) because they are 'yoof' and this is what the class needs to survive, plus it demonstrates that the 'yoof' is fast making it's mark in the Merlin fleet top 10 results, and b) they are both bloody good sailors and have set their stall out for next year/season.

Anyway, well done to whoever takes the crown.

My guess for race 5 is:

2. Richard W
3. Stuart B
4. Dave W
5. Glen T
6. William W

Or some mix of the above

Hard to beat a really firm selection Mr Observer - nailing your colours to the mast (oops can't do that with one of those carbon thingies!!)

my information says Tom won race 6 but that a 4th for Willy was good enough for him to win the week with Tom 2nd.  bad news for those who bet on hollingworth.

So where is my money :)
