2040 Robin Hood first appeared in the 1968 YB. She is a Wyche & Coppock Proctor X11. Her first owners were the Archer Sailing Group at Trent Valley S.C. Let me know if you want more from later YBs

None of the subsequent YBs until 1994 show any change of ownership or club. The 1994 book shows the owner as R Bend, Military Works Force, Chilwell, Notts which looks like the same address as in earlier years but perhaps a change in Army nomenclature. Nothing known after that. This boat could have had one owner, the MOD, for 39 years! This must be something of a record.

The Military Works Force is a RE unit providing civil, electrical and mechanical engineering specialist expertise to RE units and others world wide. In 1969 it was located under another name at Barton Stacey Near Winchester. The MWF was established at Chilwell in the 1980s. Before that Chilwell was, I think, a TA Centre and the home of a RE TA Regiment.
