Topic : Items Wanted

Sorry i have posted this here,

however i cannot see a link to post in items wanted.

I am restoring an older merlin in the 1700's number, i am at work and cannot remember the exact number, and on her last sail of the season last year managed to break the track for the jib fairleads, which were very old possibly even original. This leaves me without a working jib fairlead and track arrangement and i was hoping that somebody may have an older working set lying around in the garage that i would be able to purchase for a nominal price??!! They do not need to be sparkly or even anywhere near new, just a pair of fairleads and tracks that are in working in order.

sorry again for posting this here,

thanks in anticipation of a reply.

If it is a stainless steel track they can be bought as spares. It's the self jammers which are difficult to replace if the springs are broken.

I may have some at home somewhere as i renovated 1781 a year ago and pud modern tracks further in the boat. Not sure what happened to the old deck mounted ones but i am sure they are around somewhere. Will have a look and put a post on here tomorrow.
