Sadly the Cookham Open had to be abandoned this weekend due to a lack of wind and to much stream. A great shame for the 23 competitors that turned up and for the Club who had made their normal high level of arrangements.

The was all particularly disappointing day especially after the Saturday’s training (thanks Pat and Jilly) and Guy Pearce memorial trophy race (well done Bob Deacon) had been a great success in brilliant sunshine !!.

So having consulted people in the know, the fixture list etc etc Cookham have agreed to re-run the event on Sunday 5th November … so mark your calendars for a bonfire of an event !!

Please note this re-scheduled meeting still counts for the Thames Series.

And all Sundays entries count for November!
