Topic : Cookham Reach Training and Guy Pearce Trophey

What a day!! Light and shifty breeze and good company resulted in an excellent day with Pat Blakes well recieved wisdom paying dividends. Pat, Jilly and Alex Jackson put on a great training session which help us no end with the light weather tactics. There was 4 short races run with 12 boats joining in. The 1st and 3rd were won by Roy Reuter in 3585 After hours and the 2nd and 4th were won by Jeremy Deacon in 3550 She's a cracker.

This was all followed by the inugaral Guy Pearce race which was pretty much all decided in a hole by the top mark on the last lap. The top four were as follows.

1st - Bob Deacon - 2926 Tobacco Road - Cookham
2nd - Ken Duffel - 3538 Sourcerers Apprentice - Tamesis
3rd - Jeremy Deacon - 3550 She's a Cracker - Cookham
4th - Pat Blake - 3640 Smart Tart - Cookham

Great day - see you all tommorrow

Gull results and report to follow.
