The May/June 2006 issue of WoodenBoat magazine has a column or two on Kate, Ranelagh and the modern MR.  Thanks to Pat Blake for supplying the excellent photo and to Mervyn Allen for help with the story details and contacts.  Hopefully there will be a more complete article to follow late this year or early 2007 as I believe that WoodenBoat writers in the UK will be contacting some of the MR committee members for help.  I was asked to write a few notes on my MR experience after discussing the class with the associate editor, Tom Jackson. Tom had very kindly included an obituary for a boadbuilding fanatic and friend who died of cancer earlier this year (in his forties and leavingthree small children).  The WoodenBoat staff are extremely accomodating and supportive folks.
