I am sure I have blagged a bottle of single malt from the local distillery as some sort of prize for the event - fortunately I live only 30yds from the distillery so should get it home safely.

Could all those who are thinking about going please register thier intentions.
I recieved an email from the Sailing Sec at Dalgety Bay this morning which basically says if we can't get 20 boats to enter by the 17th March they " will not be able to go ahead with the regatta".
I can understand Dalgety Bay's reasons, Financial and in relation to volunteer commitments, but I think it would be a real shame if the event falls at the last hurdle.
Dalgety Bay also say that they "remain keen to host the regatta and to have a successful event for the class in your 60th year".
Please help us keep this event on track by signing up on the list.
If you need more incentive we have managed to get some key sponsors - Winder Boats, Harken and Tunnocks - booked a great ceilidh band and found some highly original prizes.
We only need six more boats to reach the cut off point, sign up today.

thanks

Dalgety looks like it could be a great venue and obviously a lot of work has gone into organising this event, so really hope it does go ahead. I'll be in Edinburgh on the 15th April so will try and drop by to get some photos, just a shame I can't bring my boat.

Thanks Garry, but I'm supposed to be taking my wife on a "no sailing" holiday in the Highlands. I will try and drop by to have a look, but going racing would be pushing my luck to far!!!

Yes but when we built an Empire with a very few notable exceptions, women were not consulted and kept barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen not even I would wish to return to those days though! (Mainly because I hate ankle biters and am a better cook than most!)
