The Snowflake series finished in style yesterday with a bright, springlike day and a fresh breeze that moderated as the race went on.  There was some confusion at the start after the committee got the race away on time, leaving a number of crews well shy of the line (by up to 2.5 minutes).  Willy Warren & Chris Robbo inadvertently got the best start and lead to the windward mark and the first of the two downwind marks. Thereafter their navigation skills came awry, which combined with a swim gifted the lead to John Bell & GGG, who despite a serious challenge from Mr & Mrs Bosnia, refused to give it up.  Will Rainey and Rach Williamson picked up third.

Fourth was enough for Willy & Chris to win the series overall, with Dave Dobrijevic & Rach Cooper 2nd, and Jude & the visiting Ellie Bremer 3rd.  A merlin rocket won every race of the series.  By the time the Chichester Silver Tiller arrives in May the new clubhouse will be occupied, and normal service will be resumed.
