Topic : Steve Nicholson Charity Pursuit Race

If anyone's at a loose end this weekend then can I encourage you to come to the Steve Nicholson Pursuit Race at Northampton Sailing Club. It's to raise money for Asthma UK.

Steve was an employee of P&B who sadly died of an asthma attack in his primee. P&B sponsor the event and there are many top prizes. Kick off is at 11.00 for us.

NOR is at the link below.

Tom and I are sailing, I think Antony Gifford is playing and might Glen and Jim make it out of the garage?

There is also sailing at Northampton on the Sunday for those who are interested.

Any questions phone Tom Stewart on 01604 592 808

Ok - when you all dry out - we need the full story!!
Can't even stay upright in force 4!
We need to hear excuses and what were the Scott Bros sailing?

Well it's obviously taken us all half a week to dry out - or thaw out more to the point! It was bitter.

First race was reasonably uneventful...
Force 4 plus some mighty icy blasts from Siberia caused mayhem in the second race:
Tom and Deepy went swimming twice
Jude and the Philly Factor went swimming twice
Dickie Dee and Liese didn't swim at all
Taxi and Rach had their tiller extension part from the tiller - screws weren't big enough apparently (or some such excuse - don't ask.....)
Scott Bros were sailing Scotty Snr's brand spanking new Comet Trio - just outta the packet and looking very stable - no swimming for them with 30 stone up!
Antony and Fran Gifford were there too but it was only their 4th time out in a Merlin

Best Merlin result was Tom and Deepy at 7th in the double handed non-assymetric class
Results have Jude and the Philly Factor masquerading as a Fireball on a handicap of 982 instead of 1024 - I've questionned that!!!
Scott Bros came 4th in the Assymetric Class - best effort of all of us!
