How old are the sails ? |
think I'd be interested in a set, does that include Spinnaker? and shipping? |
Sails were originally from 2739 built in 1974, so I believe one set to be original the others are newer. Your not going to win any silver tiller events with them but they'll get you on the water. |
Black if youve any left! |
I also have a set of Batts for a hog stepped rig off 3182 (loose footed). Did not think they were worth advertising but since other people are parhaps i should. They are not brilliant and a re a standard size but as Hugh has said they will get you on the water. Buy hughs first though as i would not want to step on his toes. |
Looking for fairly flat main for hog stepped, any of you near Wiltshire? |
Sorry in Berkshire. |
Wiltshire is near Berkshire! |
Thats very true! Where abouts in Wilts are you Half Cut? |
Far side from Berkshire but can travel especially when it comes to sailing (we're wintering at Frensham in Surrey!). Not sure quite what we need as we've three old (1968,1970's) sails or whether to talk to a sailmaker such as Dick Batt first though for advice and possibly a new sail that fits properly - anyone have a rough idea of prices for a new non-kevlar main? |
£486 plus vat & delivery see Batt, less what ever discount is on offer depending on season http://www.battsails.com/ |
I have Just ordered the very sail, Dick is Very Helpfull. Current Price for winter offer £534.51 all in |
Half cut, are you sailing the merlin at fresham? I must pop down and say hello as its only down the road from me. |
We're Larking about at Frensham - they aren't a Merlin club but we've also got four Larks to play with (and fix). Half Cut also could do with some tlc to the deck before the next event so it's a busy winter. |
