Having tried to avoid spending all of my hard earned, unfortunately i'm going to ave to buy a new set of Sails, due to the lack of used ones for my rig. Being fairly new to the Class i need some advice on the best brand to go for in terms of value for money and speed, i tried e-mailing Batt sails but they havnt got back to me. I have a hog stepped Super spas rig on my NSM4 and sail on a river. Altough i'm starting to do a bit of travelling again now time permits.

Decent sailmakers can cut sails to fit your rig - they will all have an idea of what the luff curve should look like. This might mean getting in touch wih a sailmaker who used to make sails at the time (eg Batt), but it will also be possible to get another sailmaker to tweak their existing they may want to have a look at your rig on the boat.
Try P&B - there might also be the 15% winter discount running around!

Dick (Batt) continues to make sails for older Merlins and definetly has sail plans in his computer, he made them for my Bad Company which go very well inland.

Steer clear of kevlar and you will save between £75 and £100 on your main for no performance loss but slightly heavier sail.
