Topic : Replacment mast ram / reapaing

The mast ram on my NSM has broken basically, the fitting at one end of the tube has come out, does anyone know where i can get a replacement, or failing that has anyone had a similar problem, and if so how did you mend it? would a bolt work?

any ideas greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Ian

Without knowing what style of ram it is or the extent of the damage, it is difficult to advise.

Can you not fit the tube back on and rivit / bolt into place? Alternatively new mast rams are available from P & B and others.

I take it by ram you mean a strut style one?

You can bold the fork fitting back in, there is no reason why this won't work.

If the fork fitting itself is broken ring Phil Scott (07973 720 732) as i know he has a couple of complete struts and i think they are a standard size.

The lever struts are now discontinued and are like hen's teeth to find new. Z Spars still do a track mounted one however.

Another option is to remove the ram completely and use chocks instead.
