MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Looking for a Merlin

I am looking to re -join the ranks after a couple of years in Phantoms (a good blast and very testing in a blow, but lonely!).
I am looking for a "pretty" Merlin in sound condition, I am enquiring after the three current boats that interest me on the site, all CT's but I would be interested if anyone knows of a modified RoTS or RoTS II or similar, even a Thin Ice that maybe someone is considering parting with. Sadly I am the thick end of 15 stone so a weight carrier might be of benefit.

Pete,

I have the original WAPB (3394) in my garage waiting for warmer weather and time before I repair a leak. I did have it on the 'for sale' but people seemed to shy away from doing a bit of work on it (probably the same reason as me, lack of time). My son won the Inlands Old boat prize with it this year (with the leak).

If you are interested e-mail me. It would be at a bargin price.

Both reasonable options depending on price.
Whitstable boat will be exc. cond. and proper competitve.
Pink boat is sound and fair at right price.

Hi John,

Yes I do know Empty Pockets, my buddy Paul Perrera used to show me the way round when I had RoTS. The pale coloured ply used in the build never appealed though I have to say I have seen it frighten the Fireball fleet on occaisions.

It must be some other branch of the Bower's that you are refering to, i knew we had horse thieves and the like but Welsh sailors!
