Topic : British Pathe

www.british-Pathe.co.uk (I think!)
Someone sent me this link and it's very well worth a peek or two. (Only if you have broad band!) You can download clips of Tamesis and Bourne End Before and after the war. Regattas elswhere including and the first 1962 Tideway Race Plymouth, Falmouth, Oulton Broad, Torquay, Bags of Cowes Weeks a good one on mass production of Fireflys bags of Merlin footage other things too lots of familiar faces ad nauseam! I searched, "Sailing" Yachting" "Winston Churchill" "Olympics" You can also buy the full length stuff, the Tideway Race is VG indeed.
Wasn't Billy Allen, Paul Nevard's crew, a Pathe Cameraman and his dad too? The archive stops at 1970 which is when I think Pathe Stopped too!
Oh the memories of Pathe News at the cinema!

What an awesome resource! History in action. Bourne End doesn't look very different at all - B-Raters as well as A-Raters and by the looks of things the odd pump or two. Nothing changes eh!? Guess the guys in the white reefer jackets are the paid hands? no year or sail numbers unfortunately.
