Topic : Parkstone and Annual Dinner

Great weekend, congratulations to all at Parkstone for pulling together the threads to round off the season in such style. 39 boats (I think) - including all of the Silver Tiller top ten and a very good contingent from the home club. Very well managed and tricky racing on Saturday, followed by a superb dinner, prizegiving and band. Smaller turnout on Sunday for the club race, around the harbour cans, but a race with everything; five leaders, some flat calm, some hard hiking, some Monster Shifts! All good fun.

Well done to all,and respect to Glenn & Davo for retaining the ST.

to echo that, a big thank you to all at Parkstone for 3 well-organised races with no waiting around and only 2 general recalls! Wonderful conditions for the time of year, well worth the trip. Sorry I didn't make the Sunday race, but Ellie was feeling a bit poorly after some Navy Rum the previous evening.

The evening do was faultless - the peashooters at least stopped the food being thrown until the grapes arrived with the cheese and proved to be of just the right calibre for the peashooters! Great band, cheap beer, what more do you need?

Unless it happened after I staggered off there wasn't even any Dempsey/Porkins nakedness!

Congratulations to everyone involved. Especially the Scroggie/Tyler team - all went off fantastically. Good difficult yotting on the Saturday, awesome evening bash, and some entertainment on Sunday. Yet again the standard has been raised. I only hope this gives the ever burgeoning Parkstone fleet yet more impetus. One thing: Whitstable, where were you!?

Florida with the kids. Saw Hurricane Wilma first hand but not too close to the eye to be scared.
