MERLIN ROCKET FORUM

Topic : Fair weather Championship?

High pressure, sunshine and northwest winds on Sunday.
Looking at long-range forecasts - there seems to be a general consensus!
Getting lighter and hotter as the week goes on – good sea breezes at Hayling.
Can’t wait.

Time to go on a crash diet then!

No excuses for the classic boats not coming down now.

OK Saturday doesn't look perfect - a bit of rain even for the arrival and measuring - but then the good weather is still forecast for the rest of the week.

Chairman GGGG must have been very good in earlier life!

A word of caution, as if they do not have enogh to do the Hampshire Police are on a drink/drive/rowdy behaviour alert, for the whole of August, targeting Langstone, Portsmouth and Hyling island,(Road blocks etc, so be alert, the Merlin Rocket Class needs lerts! It would be pity if the Silver Tiller got decimated by people losing licences and a night in the drunk tank might ruin someones week! These guys DNPA.
ENJOY THE WEEK despite the obvious lack of attraction of Hayling Island as a place ("Oh the noise-oh the people".) the sailing club is good and the water can be too.Don't hit the bar (The one in the channel that is not the one in the club house.)
Time for a lady champion?
