Topic : Deck material - carbon ?

Will shortly be collecting our NSM1 3425 - It has an ali space frame and sail material rather than a wood fore deck - I am tempted to make up a removable carbon cover on dezuz or similar to allow the space frame to be removed should any additions / repair need welding on rather than use sail material again - so Q: are carbon decks allowed ?

Also I have some motor sports scales and was interested ref all up weight - is it measured fully rigged or bare hull or hull fittings and foils ? and what is the min all up weight allowed.

Older boat but got some good sails in hand and it will be tidied up and at an open before the end of the year and we may silver tiller next year :)

Conor,
I hope they are allowed, as I've just carbon sheathed the entire deck of 3165. Does wonders for the stiffness!

Yup, carbon is OK in the decks, but not the hull.
Weigh the boat with the string in place, and centreboard, but no boom/rudder/mast/sails/poles.

Go the whole hog & rebuild the space frame from carbon tube easier than welding!
