Topic : Can I borrow a Mast and set of Sails? Pretty please!!!

Hi all,
Does anyone out there have a spare mast and suit of sails with large kite to use at Salcombe this year and possibly the nationals aswell.
I stupidly sold my mast before finding out there was a massive waiting time to get a new chipstow one built and the sails for my other boat are for a maximum height mast aswell.
Please let me know ASAP on 07951046022.
Any other ideas on how to get sailing in time would also be welcome.
Would consider buying second hand equipment if suitable, have seen the sails in the second hand section but need to know they would match any mast i get hold of.
Current list of equipment needed for my boat to go yachting:
Mast (carbon of course!)
Sails (only have max height sails with small kite)
Twin Spinny poles (currently using a single pole system and the crew is getting annoyed!!)
Rudder (currently using a river shaped one)
Cover (have an under cover and will probably just buy a new one, but might aswell ask)
I would also be more than willing to travel anywhere in the country to collect the equipment and return if borrowed.
Hope you can help!
Ollie

Simpler option is just to charter Richard Batty's Turner Tales that he advised was available, as it has every thing you want already assembled, and is a decent boat.

Alternatively, you can borrow my Proctor Carbon Mast, however you'll have to be pretty handy at repairs as it is in three bits, I'm told repairs aren't difficult DIY just timely, which I simply don't have. I'll pay the materials if you do a decent job!

Ollie, I have a PVC cover for Heaven Sent which is in pretty good nick tho 3y old, will be surplus to requirements when I get the canvas one Speed Sails are making for me (the mast hole was 18" too far aft on the 1st version!!). This will fit Let it Ride and probably Easy Roller, I think your design is based on the Make It So and may be a little narrower in the transom. Cover has bit for sqare-topped hoop. E-mail me if interested, can bring it to Salcombe.

We have a space single pole, a P&B main and big kite in decent condition.

Also a winged rudder, not sure it goes to well at Salcombe, but it worked this weekend at Whitstable!

Give me a call 0789 658 252

Just a thought Ollie - there is a virtually unused , state of the art , Winder 3588 sitting in the Shoreham dinghy park .It has never been raced and hardly sailed at all .

The owner is Patrick Sear 01273728510 If he is prepared to consider a charter it would involve a couple of trips to Shoreham ( penance! ) to get it ready 'cos there was some weed growing up the shrouds when last seen !! Ross can tell you the full story if you are interested

A winged rudder Liam! Your not suggesting Al needs a stablizer these days:) Maybe a few other pitchpolers out there could have done with one...

I was very disappointed Liam didn't commit at least one pitchpole at the weekend - he spent enough time practicing them in St.Anton last February...

Thanks to all those that have been in touch.
Just to make a point to the chairman, I will be there!
Special thanks to Scott for the carbon mast,
Rob for selling me his large kite,
Pat for the offering some sails,
and Alan and Sue Markham for the offer of Sails and a fixed rudder.
To the other offerers thank you.
Just missing a set of twin poles but will use a single pole system from Luka so no problems there.
See you on Saturday at Salcombe!!
