If anyone thinks they have time to let myself and my partner(helm) have a go in their Merlin this weekend, to see if we like them, we would be greatful.  We are based in Nottingham, so we will probably go watch the trent valley meeting if we have time.

We found a good boat, but we want to know we are capable of sailing it.  My partner is experienced at sailing dinghies, but I am not.

If you can sail a dinghy, assuming that your combined weight is above 17 stone, below which you might have issues in anything but light winds, then you can sail a Merlin. How well is simply a matter of practice, and Merlin's have some great training sessions.
