Ditto, outside on acetone resistant formica or simiolar.

acetone is legally restricted because it is toxic, carcinogenic and dissolves blood vessel linings!
MEK - methyl-ethyl-ketone is marginally less dangerouds and much easier to buy.
Use in an open space ONLY!

Last night I used Ultrovar 2000 solvent. It makes the glue go all gooey but you can scrape it off. When it's as clean as you can get it then give a few wipes with a clean acetone cloth. Seemed to work well. I found that acetone dried too quickly and was taking ages but the Ultrovar stuff was less volatile. Also tried Fast Epoxy Solvent but it seemed a non starter. Seems everything you try smells!!
