Just seen this on the CVRDA forum and thought it may be a useful reminder.

We are being plagued in the USA by spammers from Germany who have been hacking into the discussion groups, mailing lists, then planting links to such lovely sites as the german communist party and others of similar ilk some of which contain viruses, on the members personal computers then spoofing the return addresses back to those members.
