Topic : Laziest crew/hardest working helm of the week award

Any comments about what the interchange between helm and crew might be? I assume when he says actively raced the seller means that the helm was too active and he's fed up with the crew not getting his a**e over the side. Certainly a genuine reason for sale!

If you want to take the p*** out of random other classes, what about a caption for this one?

p.s. maybe GP 13037 (John Bailey Combs SC) has a genuine reason for selling his GP14, maybe he wanted to join the Merlins and now you have p***d him off!

Has anybody actually taken the p**s out of the GP on this thread yet? No - let's get started.

Is there anything random about the fact that it's a GP? No - we should always pick on them.

Maybe he wanted to join the Merlins - well now you've named him and made it personal........

In no way did I intend this to be a personal attack on anyone or on GPs - just thought that the crew might have been a little more involved. Hope that I haven't put anyone off a Merlin!!

I think everyone is getting a bit flustered here.. please do calm down peeps. All merlin sailors know that GP14s are really really good boats. They are a true really really good general-purpose dinghy.

I bet they make really warm general purpose Guy Fawks nights props too...

As someone rather humorous once said.. "They even burn slowly".

Do you think the crew was utilising the general purpose GP14 toilet at the time..?

I've always wanted to do a 24 hr race in one as I bet you can really stock em up for a good old drinking session! Yummy

maybe that's what skiff pilots say about tubby old (or new) merlins - plenty of space to store the beer, before and after consumption!

(people in greenhouses etc.)

Is it me or does Salcombe Yawl mans crew seen to be pushing him in the direction of the predator?

Bet he really regrets shouting at her now!
