A salesman is worth his commision to both parties if he does his job well. Berkeley Home only employ the very best, as they only build the very best.

You can get independant ones. They will offer you any mortage, but if the one you choose isnt from a lender that gives the broker a commission, the broker will want £500 off you...

Interesting subject for the Merlin web site. I guess 'job' is a Merlin sailor, or just realises that Merlin sailors a a bright friendly bunch who will offer advice on anything - like mortgage brokers except for free/no commission.

Speaking of jobs...anyone know of any mechanical engineering jobs on the south coast and/or especially in Cornwall? Very versatile person, worked on two continents in five industries, excelling in all. :) Boat building would be a fun new industry...

In my experience people who turn up at interviews without a decent idea of what the job involves day to day let alone what it means will cone out with a shoe imbedded in there arse.

The term recent graduate should mean ‘no relevant experience’ not ‘no fucking clue’.

The recruitment agent will get the other as well as no more business.

Quote "In my experience people who turn up at interviews without a decent idea of what the job involves day to day let alone what it means will cone out with a shoe imbedded in there arse."

i beleive the Reg recruiter's " experience" must be limited or they work with a lower caliber of clients because i am living proof that even with no experience of the job and limited knowledge of the job you can secure a 2nd inter viewwith the regional manager for Finance without coming out of an interview with quote

"a shoe imbedded in there arse"

so Reg recruiter think before you speak dumbass!!!

Keeping the job will be another matter however, especially if you type as badly as you do. You'd not last 1 minute with me.

Funny isn't it. As a research scientist you wouldn't last 5 mins if you hadn't an idea about your subject, yet the salary is pretty poor - best would be about £20K after 6 years with a PhD. Yet you could bluff your way as a mortgage broker and earn a pretty penny. Wonder why this country is going down the pan? Nobody produces anything (except boat builders of course) everyone seems to act as a middle man and charges for handling.

You are quite right but then I know the MD of a large Mortgage broker who has seen this correspondence, bet he cheats at cards and doesn't do his 360's either! But maybe his long term game plan is to be a New Labour MP?
