I am making a claim for the repair of my foredeck. I have squared the edges of hole and sealed with epoxy the damage is about 5" X 5". The problem is I live in South West Scotland. My insurance company says "take pics and e-mail to repairer for quote" Can you recomend anyone for this type of repair(near Scotland if pos).

You could try Arnot dobson formerly Aln Boatyard the last number I had some years ago was 01670 760039 I guess that's further North than most Dinghy builders if on the wrong side of the country. There has to be somebody in the lake district as well (Windermere) Steve Goacher might know.

Caley Marine in Inverness made a lovely job of repairing the old ply sidedecks on my National 12' last year including mahogany coaming. They have got a couple of people with good experience of working on small wooden boats. They're pretty busy at this time of year. Try www.caleymarina.com. (I do realise that Inverness is further way than the Lake District from Glasgow).
