Directions:Take A299 from London then turn off the new dual carriageway following the signs to Whitstable. Follow the old Thanet Way to the roundabout at the top of the hill and turn left for the town. Pass under the railway bridge, and drive along the High Street past the Duke of Cumberland pub. Whitstable Yacht Club is on your left. Take the next left, into the Harbour entrance, to reach the dinghy park.
As you will know if you have been to the open meeting, or one of the previous ten Merlin champs hosted at Whitstable, the club is well set up to host major events, both on and off the water.
If you don’t know Whitstable the club offers;
good size changing rooms and new hot shower system,
boat parking with tie downs in front of the club,
shallow ramps with fresh water hoses making for easy launching and recovery,
purpose designed committee boat with toilet facility available to competitors,
three large high speed RIBs and other safety support craft all with fully qualified safety boat drivers,
workshop facility, and a
chandlery next door.
The club house has a large bar, restaurant/lounge with sea views, comprehensive catering and a few bedrooms - but they get booked months in advance! We have the office capability to produce results promptly and post them to our own website immediately.
