Winter Series Racing

Don't let your Merlin hibernate over the winter!
Though the Silver Tiller is over, there is still plenty of fleet racing to be had if you're tough enough.
Many clubs welcome non-members to their open series, and some offer cheap membership for the season.

Chichester 'Snowflake'

This handicap series usually runs alternate Sundays through the winter months at Chichester YC. Merlins form part of the 'fast' fleet and handicaps are adjusted by age, meaning that older boats can compete with the added excitement of seeing their times decently adjusted after the race!

See the dates and entry details (PDF file).

Wembley

The Autumn Series consists of 20 races (8 to count), running from 5th October to 4th January. The Winter Series consists of 24 races (8 to count) running from 11th January to 29th March.

The Wembley Wassail is on 1st January at 11am, and is open to Merlins (and some other classes). It is a pursuit race. The fee is £5 per boat.
