Indeed was at one point, owned I think initially by John Cooper, then Paul Gilbert (?) and I remember sailing against her in Looe when owned by Tony Blackmore. Someone has done some serious structural work since - I think Tony was having some problems with the decks and carlins in the big waves at Looe. Would be a very good 1st Merlin for someone as should still be reasonably quick if pointed in the right direction. |
It did. I had "Thunderclap" from new for 9 years. Eventually it ended up with Tony Blackmore who put on the carbon decks. Not sure what happened to it after that but it looks smart. |
Actually, whilst the carbon decks do get hot in the dinghy park, when you're sailing there's no temperature difference twixt carbon and white. |
