Are we able to drop boats at the club on Friday afternoon?

Can someone please confirm if the ST was the Sat or the Sun (I think was the Sat).

Also are HRSC able to provide results for the ST only please? I confess to never asking before and always working it out manually, but it would make my life easier if the ST results could also be provided.

PS any thought to just making this a 2 day ST since most entrants tend to do both days in anycase.....

Thanks, Ross

Hi Alex, ok spotted that part now. I had looked at the below which made it look like the Sat was the Res open

HELP NEEDED

I'm trying to work out the ST results and have a question about the 3 SCP 20% results on the Sunday. Should the 20% penalty be spread over the 4 races, or should I discount Saturdays as not ST and only do the sunday result? If so how do I calculate these scores????

Also odd that 1st and 2nd didn't qualify for the ST

Thanks

Ignore me, found background info on how this SCP is scored and see won't be affected by just taking sunday races

The Event info on the fixtures list stated that it was the Sunday which counted for ST points which was why I turned up for just that day when I realised I could only do one or the other....

No worries. To be fair, my result was so rubbish that I'm not fussed whether it counts or not... :-P

Hi Barney, ironicly it was the weather that stopped me from coming! It was the first weekend I have had bothe the time and the weather to get my garden sorted out (new house) and it was in desperate need. I don't have another free weekend for some time so sadly it took priority. Had it been raining I would have been there!

Why do they not Qualify Ross? They start 2 races, but only finished 1 of them, but that stills gives them a result doesn't it? Am I missing something??

Are the photos that Bertrand Malas took online anywhere? They were used in the report and there were some rather good ones on display in the club!

Does anyone know who was taking the photos on the water that were shown in the club?

Looking forward to seeing you all at the weekend in Hamble. The weather forecast looks fantastic!

Briefing for Saturday??s racing is at 1015 (first race scheduled for 1100) and you will be able to enter the event in the clubhouse from 0900.

We??ve been asked by Hamble Parish Council (who own the dinghy park and waterfront area) to pass on a few polite requests on what to do when you arrive.

If you are towing a boat please proceed down Hamble High street (the cobbles) and you will then arrive on the waterfront road.

Do NOT drive into the carpark with your boat. Instead proceed down the road to the entrance to the dinghy park and park on the road. Unhitch your trailer and wheel the boat and trailer through the dinghy park barrier and across the dinghy park to the waterfront grass area. There??s plenty of room on the grass for up to 70 boats.

Visiting boats must NOT be parked in the dinghy park area. They can only be left on the grass area.

HRSC volunteer marshals will be around to help and advise. Please obey their instructions and leave your boat in the right place i.e. on the grass. Sanctions may be applied to those who don??t.

Free parking will be available all weekend in the Donkey Derby Field. Once you??ve dropped the boat jump back in your car and drive up the hill to the Field.

See you all at the weekend!

If you want to drop boats on Friday afternoon please call the club before midday Friday on 023 8045 2070 and we will arrange for someone to meet you later in the day to open the dinghy park gate.

First, many thanks to all of those who attended this years Warming Pan. Entries were a little down this year and HRSC are intrigued to know why, please let us know. It surely can't have been to do with the weather!

Second, the photos were taken by one of our club members. There will be some information out in the next couple of days on the HRSC website (I'll try and post here too) on how to get hold of them.

See you all in March 2015, date tba but it will almost certainly be the 2nd or 3rd weekend of the month.
