Hellooo, 
I'm on placement at the moment in a school in Hastings, a group I'm working with have entered a competition to build a working, exciting contraption with a budget of £100 and if they win, the prize money is £50000! They've decided to make a land yacht- I didn't have anything to do with the designing but I was very excited to be able to be involved! 
Penny Clarke (laser radial in Beijing, now campaigning in the FX) came in today and we talked to the children about sailing and her career so far, she's donated one of her older windsurfing sails to the group but didn't have a spare mast. 
And so I was wondering if anyone had, or knew of anyone with any old, broken or unwanted windsurfing masts that I could put into the mix for the children to have the best chance at winning the prize money and making a working land yacht which I can then teach them to use! Its a 4.7m sail.
I'll be at Chichester and Hamble next weekend if anyone has got anything that could be of use, anything at all will be appreciated!

Sarah - I know of a carbon windsurfer mast that I can drop into Hamble if that will help

Sarah... we were there - on shore (if you were in the first general recall  you've been caught 'bang to rights'!!) and I tried to track you down but it ended up being a bit of a briefings done, get afloat rush and I we missed each other.
