Topic : Silver Tiller at Blithfield - 1974

I've just received a newspaper cutting about (what I beleive to be) the first Silver Tiller meeting at Blithfield in 1974.
Sail numbers clearly visible in the picture are:-
2082 ; 2303; 2417; 2561; 2601; 2611; 2667; 2824

Does anyone have a record to confirm this and put names to boat numbers?

What month is it? I might be able to find something in the Y&Y archives when I next visit the head office.

Thanks for the responses

Mags - The newspaper cutting is Tuesday 19th March - so I assume Sunday 17th.

Peter - unfortunatly it only b&w. Were you there? - If so please let me have your email address and I will send a .pdf copy. It shows the crews at the briefing and you might be able to recognise some of the faces.

Manifestation could have had John Houghton or Terry Stark at the helm?

Last saw Manifestation at Grafham Water a couple of years ago - looking very sorry for herself. Terry recons it was one of the best Merlins he had!

I bought manifestation off eBay in an attempt to rebuild her, unfortunately what was required was well beyond my woodworking skills and when I costed it with Laurie for him to do it I bought a new boat instead. Great pity as it used to be a great boat.
