I'm still looking for a Superspars Ally boom, B2 section, to suit the 2503mm foot (so should be about 2550-2600mm total length?) This being the later aspect sail size. Has anyone got one to sell?

Actually, a boom for a late MR would be a good start, even if it's not a B2, would even consder Carbon if there's one available! (prefer a round g/n fitting for SS)

Hi when I was struggling for a boom a few years ago I found an old Fireball one at my local club. Just needed shortening a little but was fine afterwards.

Thanks, that might open some options - the Superspars site lists 505, Albacore, Fireball, Flying 15, FD and Wayfarer as potential donors.

Anything reasonably stiff will do. Many older vintage boats use a Proctor C section for example. I used a Solo boom on 2998 for a while.

Thanks for the suggestion Chris, Its the length I'm struggling for, since upgrading to the longer foot sails. Buying a new boom seems like a waste if there are s/h ones lying around.

There must be spares lying around that people don't want. I included one with the CT I sold a while back which I suspect must be gathering dust somewhere!
