As an ex Rocketeer and present HISC member, I was delighted to see you all at Hayling for both the Glyn Charles Pursuit and the open. Good to see the old fellah can give the youngsters the runaround! Now you can see (or be reminded of) the fabulous facilities and sailing water on offer. As I mentioned to Willie and Pat, HISC would be an ideal place to establish a fleet of Merlins, with an option of harbour or open sea and for the bimblers, a chandlery on shore. I hope some of you give it serious consideration. The minor down side is that some may find it expensive if you travel a lot on the Silver Tiller circuit and don't use the club - that must surely apply to most memberships. Well you have to live somewhere, so why not the finest dinghy club anywhere? I'd be supportive of any such proposal.
I look forward to seeing you all in August.
